  • Documentation is not provided by a qualified professional

  • Insurance documentation is missing or does not align with submitted expenses

  • Requested expenses or items are not eligible under the program criteria

  • Funds for the application window have been fully allocated

All applications are reviewed on a case-by-case basis, and submission does not guarantee funding.

Yes. A letter of recommendation from a qualified professional can be uploaded to validate the required assessments, therapies, assistive devices and/or equipment. Examples of a qualified professional could be from the child’s school, a speech-language pathologist, an occupational therapist, a physical therapist, a social worker, a psychologist, or a doctor, etc.

No. The reimbursement model is standard practice for not-for-profit programming. Families currently unable to cover the costs upfront, may qualify for immediate financial assistance from SISIP Financial Counsellors.

The Financial Counsellors can assist the family with access to short-term emergency financial support and then help the family plan for similar situations in the future.

Balances not already covered by insurance are eligible for reimbursement. If you are submitting a financial reimbursement form for an expense partially covered by insurance, the applicable insurance statements are required.
If you cannot submit your MPRR because of its security classification, a letter of validation from your designated MFS office will be accepted in lieu.
